My formal education and training as well as my own inner work inform my practice. I see firsthand how transformative good therapy can be and I feel truly honored to be able to do this work. I bring a non-judgmental openness and empathy to my sessions and believe that the authentic connection we build will be one of the most important factors in the growth/healing process. I will never pretend to be the expert on your life and will not act as a "blank wall."  I will laugh with you, cry with you, and be authentic with you. We will work to challenge and dismantle societal "norms"/pressures that keep us paralyzed and examine all the "shoulds" in your life in constant pursuit of a more authentic self.

I will encourage you to notice not only thoughts and emotions but sensations in the body. When we pay attention to the clues that our bodies are constantly giving us we can tap into much deeper expression and healing. This is where pattern disruption happens. For more on this please see the Somatic Experiencing page.

I work with individuals and couples with a wide range of presenting challenges and goals. I utilize attachment theory, neuroscience, mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, trauma informed practices, feminist psychology, existential psychology, movement, postmodern and narrative frameworks in my practice. I am LGBTQ affirmative and anti-racist.
